Most of the Boat Leather products have an illustrated measuring guide to properly measure the size of the marine hardware you want to cover with leather.
Our Boat Leather business cards are designed with a scale on the edge of the card. Simply wrap the card around the item you need to measure to get an exact measurement. If you do not have one of our cards, use a piece of paper ½” wide and 6 inches long, wrap the paper around the marine hardware, mark the overlap, then measure the paper with a tape measure. This will assure a proper measurement. Paper is thin and will provide an accurate measurement. String, wire, or line will not measure properly because of its thickness. If you are replacing leather on a wheel rim or stainless rail, remove the old leather prior to measuring.
